To cancel your insurance, we require your original Certificate of Motor Insurance and Disc returned along with a hand signed letter requesting to cancel. Please forward these documents to:

Sold your car? Stop your cover.

If you're selling your car to get a new one, you can get a new quote too. It's easy. Go to your secure online account - MyBoxyMo and it couldn't be quicker. Just follow the simple steps online and you'll be able to update your details to include your new car. It may mean your premium rising or going down but, as there's no admin fee to make the changes if you don't phone, it's already saved you money.

You’ll need to tell anyone who may be buying your car that a telematics box has been fitted but, whilst it may have been left in place, it will be remotely disconnected and will not be transmitting data. You will also need to have a box fitted to your new car. We will contact you after you have made the change to your policy to arrange this.

If you find that the policy does not meet your needs, please return your insurance documents to us within 14 days of your policy commencing. Provided you have not made a claim, you will be charged on a proportionate basis of the cover you have received. However, if the telematics device has been installed to your vehicle, or has been fitted to a vehicle you previously insured with us, you will be charged an additional cancellation fee of €183 to cover the cost of the the box. If the telematics device has not been installed, this charge will be reduced from €183 to €60. If you pay by direct debit, any refund due will be paid to the Finance company. After such payments have been made, any balance remaining will be refunded to you.

Provided no claim has been made or has arisen under this policy prior to cancellation during the current period of insurance you will be entitled to a refund of premium less a charge reflecting the cover we have provided up to the cancellation of your policy. This charge will be calculated on a proportionate basis on either the period of cover you have received, or the kilometres you have used whichever amount is higher. In addition, an administration charge of €60 will apply if the telematics device has NOT been fitted to the vehicle or €183 if the telematics device HAS been fitted. Any administration charges applied to your policy are non-refundable. Please view our terms and business and the insurer’s policy booklet for more details. If you pay by direct debit, any refund due will be paid to the Finance company. After such payments have been made, any balance remaining will be refunded to you. On occasion we may request the physical removal of the box from your car in which case you must allow us access to the car to retrieve the box if requested by us.
